Omiros a sweet little boy, who came into this world in rather adverse circumstances, since his mother had to be subjected to an emergency C-section, as she presented with preeclampsia and was infected with CMV, which unfortunately passed to the fetus. When he was just 2 months old, the baby developed bronchiolitis, while he was also diagnosed with a ruptured eardrum, which was caused by acute otitis media. As a result, the little guy had to remain hospitalized for a long period of time in a hospital in Thessaloniki.

Today, Omiros is 6 years old and he is already facing a lot of challenges. The little guy has been diagnosed with psychokinetic delay and hearing loss in the left ear, which has greatly affected his speech, since it is still unintelligible. According to the pediatrician who monitors his condition, the little guy needs to be immediately subjected to speech therapy and occupational therapy, while he also requires a hearing aid, which will allow him to restore his hearing, and eventually, his communication skills.

Little Omiros’ parents have found themselves in a dead end, since they currently work part-time and they don’t have any health insurance. As a result, they are unable to cope with the cost of the hearing aid and the treatments that their son urgently needs. The parents reached out to ACT OF KINDNESS and after further communication with the specialized physicians who monitor his condition, we organized this aid campaign, which will allow this little fighter to develop his motor and communication skills.

Little Omiros is facing a lot of challenges, since he hasn’t been able to reach the proper developmental milestones. We have the power to help him. Together, we can offer him a better quality of life!
